The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris has enjoined Nigerians to be optimistic and to embrace a positive mind-set as they enter the New Year 2022, filled with renewed trust in God Almighty.
In his New Year message, the Commissioner lauded Kogites and Nigerians for their abiding faith in the APC led Administration, Particularly praised them for supporting Gov. Yahaya Bello in actualizing the monumental achievements witnessed in the State in 2022.
He admitted that there were indeed numerous challenges that characterized the outgoing year for the country as a whole and for majority of Nigerians, but exceptionally praised the sound economic measures of Gov. Bello that has made the state unique in Infrastructure development.
He urged Nigerians to look beyond the shortfalls and negatives of the past and approach the New Year with optimism and positive expectations stating that the country has all it takes to sustain its status as giant of Africa, with Kogi State now becoming a Investment hub.
Asiwaju Idris advised the people of the State to look forward to the year 2022 with optimism, assurring that Kogi State is in a safe hands, with the people remaining the focus of the administration.
He counselled that Kogites should simply be full of prayers, committing to all the programs and policies of the present administration in the State as the State would witnessed a massive turnaround in prosperity in the coming year.
Asiwaju Idris thanked God for making it possible for Kogites to see the New Year, said as we celebrate the new year, the people should remember to show love to their brothers and sisters in the coming year.
Asiwaju Idris congràtulated Gov Yahaya Bello for the giant strides achievements the State has witnessed in the outgone year, urged him to sustain the feat that has endeared him to the people as the people’s Governor.
He prayed that the calls of the people for Gov. Bello to aspire to be the next President of Nigeria would be made manifest in the new year with their sustained support, described Gov. Bello as best fit for the country’s President if Security, the unification of the country and all round prosperity, the hallmarks of Leadership is to be enjoyed by all Nigerians.
Asiwaju Idris implored Kogites and all Nigerians to embrace peace and Unity, assurred that the country is on the brink of prosperity if all the citizens join hands to work for growth and development.
He concluded by congràtulating Nigerians for entering into 2022, a year he described as a year for harvest and prosperity.
