New year: ACHUBA PRAISES GOD WITH NIGERIANS, SAYS THE FUTURE IS GREAT


 

The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has joined Nigerians and the entire world in thanking the Almighty for His protection, guidiance and mercy upon His people throughout the year 2023, praying God to make the year 2024 the year of harvest of blessings and testimonies for His children.

 

This is even as the former Deputy Governor predicted a better Kogi state and promising Nigeria for the people

Elder Achuba, in a new year message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, said Nigerians and the world as a whole have every reason to admonish, adore and thank God for His creation and the lives given, maintaining that continuous prayers and dedication to God would lead the nation and the world as a whole to the promise land.

The former Deputy Governor used the occassion to called on Nigerians to commit themselves to the task of nation building and peaceful coexistence, stating that development can only take place in an atmosphare deviod of crisis and incessant killings of innocent citizens.

He called on the government in power to tackle the resurgence of unwanton masacre of citizens in some parts of the country and bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.

The former Deputy Governor also urged the government in power to show more compassion in its dealings with Nigerians in the face of the excruciating poverty and hardship associated with the removal of fuel subsidy.

He enjoined Nigerians to embrace the lessons learned and the wisdom gained from the experiences in 2023, as the nation stands at the threshold of a new year.

According to him, the challenges of 2023 may persist, but the collective resolve to build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria remains unwavering.

The elder stateman who prayed God to lead the leaders of the country in the right direction, encouraged all Nigerians to join hands in the pursuit of a better tomorrow.

Specicically addressing his people, the former Deputy Governor urged Kogites to continue living in peace, unity and foster a culture of understanding with their neighbours, especially in this new and promising year for the people.

He said with commitment, resillience and togetherness, Kogites can address the issues that affect the state to pave the way for positive change and development.

According to him, “Our state is rich with natural resource, and it is this God-given natural resources and other gifts that can be our greatest strength when harnessed and properly taken care of for the common good.

“May the dawn of 2024 bring with it the kind of hope that we want and the strength to overcome any challenges that may come our way. Let us approach the new year with optimism and a shared commitment to building a Kogi state that we can all be proud of.
