New Kogi CP Assumes Duty, Says Inter Agency Cooperation Key To Effective Policing- Kankarofi

Inter Agency collaboration has been said to be the most effective weapon in crime fighting.
Kogi State New Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi stated this in Lokoja on assumption of office.
CP Kankarofi said one of his major policies is to strengthen inter agency cooperation with Sister Agencies as well as intelligence gathering, and involvement of all relevant stakeholders in crime fighting in the State.
According to him, under his watch, Kogi State will be safer for the people and the highways well secured for travellers especially as the yuletide season approaches.
He said the people’s needs will be given priority through community policing as Governor Usman Ododo has assured him of the needed support to achieve maximum success.
The new CP warned criminally minded individuals to stay away from the State as maximum force will be used against all forms of banditry, kidnapping and acts of terrorism.
He called for cooperation from the people to report suspicious elements in the bid to make the State safer and sustain the relative peace as well as sustained partnership with the media to achieve set goals.
The CP promised to enforce the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IG Kayode Egbetokun for a safer and crime free Nigeria.
It would be recalled that CP Kankarofi resumed as the fortieth Police Boss in Kogi State after the redeployment of CP Miller Dantawaye to FCT
