The NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS AGAINST DRUGS ABUSE… formerly known as BUBA MARWA FOOT SOLDIERS AGAINST DRUG ABUSE; under the chairmanship of Hon. Austine Alaba Medaiyedu has expressed deep sadness over the death of Hajiya Zainab Marwa, wife of Gen. Buba Marwa, the Chairman of NDLEA who died yesterday Saturday 8th January, 2022 after a brief illness.
We received the news of the passing of Gen Marwa’s wife with great shock. As we all know, the deceased was a peacemaker and a rallying point for not only Adamawa state, but the country as a whole.
As an advocate of women empowerment, she did a lot to promote peaceful coexistence and development in her domain and she was very instrumental to the substantial peace recorded as well as the confidence building that grew among various ethnic groups in the country
We applauded her for the genuine passion she had for economic emancipation of the people as well as paying special attention to educational development for the betterment of humanity.
While encouraging the immediate family and the people of Adamawa State to accept the passing of the late Gen Wife as the will of God, we admonished other Influential women of Substance like her to keep her legacies alive and continue to embibe her good virtues.
While wishing her a peaceful rest, it is our prayers that God Almighty will give his husband, children and the entire families she left behind the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost. Amen.
