My Dear Mr. President I have decided to write you this short note because I’m convinced that your advisers and all your cabinet members are not telling you the gravity of the mess you have thrown everybody into in the last one year you took oath of office as the President of this complex and extremely challenging country.
Your singular decision to remove fuel price without making any corresponding plan to deal with the chain reaction from the policy is causing a lot of ripple effects among the long suffering Nigerians.
The economic quargmire is biting very hard and turning the people into abject poverty.
There is unprecedented hunger and unmitigated suffering in the country.
The number of out of school children now sitting idle at home is mindbungling.
Expectedly, the crime wave would witness a spike in the days ahead.
Mr President try and reverse your decision on the fuel removal and swallow the humble pie and save your government the looming dangerous times ahead.
Life is not fair at the moment for everyone.
There is massive dislocation of survival capacity of the citizens as the price of PMS keeps changing by the day.
All your assurance of a better tomorrow is nothing but a balderdash and empty promises.
Nigerians are presently in a limbo as there is uncertainty and lack of clarity from your government on the way out of the big mess you have put everyone into.
A lot of companies and other small business are shutting down which will invariably lead to massive loss of jobs.
The truth of the matter is that you can not convinced me that you have the best interest of the masses at heart in the economic policies you have taken so far.
The evidence and the reality of the gravity of the day doesn’t add up to suggest that you are capable of changing the sad narrative .
Please reverse your fuel subsidy removal so that we can breathe again.
I wish you good courage to change the difficult decision you have taken.
For now you are walking on a tight rope.
