My commitment to unite youth of Okun land remains steadfast – Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris FCA.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris has restarted his commitment to fostering youth of Okun land.
The Commissioner stated this in his goodwill message for the Launch of the Okun Youth Alliance Movement.
According to the Commissioner, the vital role youth play in the development of communities, which is in consonance with the state 32 -Year Development Plan cannot be overemphasized
Below is his goodwill message to the occasion.
Ladies and Gentlemen, esteemed guests, and the vibrant youth of Okun land,
I stand with you today with a heart full of pride and excitement for the historic launch of the Okun Youth Alliance Movement, a moment that signifies our collective commitment to empowerment, unity, and progress.
Although I regret to inform you that I am unable to attend this momentous occasion due to official duties outside the state, please know that my spirit and support are with you as you embark on this transformative journey.
Today, we celebrate the mission of the Okun Youth Alliance Movement—to empower and unite the youth of Okun land, fostering social, economic, and cultural development. It is through our unity that we will pave the way for a brighter future, characterized by opportunity and shared identity.
I want to take this opportunity to convey my sincere apologies for my absence. I truly wish I could be there in person to witness the enthusiasm and dedication that each of you brings to this initiative. Please understand that my commitment to this cause remains steadfast, and I look forward to supporting your efforts in every way possible.
Today, as you launch this movement, I assure you that you have the unwavering support of our esteemed Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA. He is deeply committed to the vision of the Okun Youth Alliance Movement and recognizes the vital role our youth play in the development of our communities, which is in consonance with the state 32 -Year Development Plan, which was built on three pillars of Building Resilience, Fostering Posterity and Providing Directions. With his backing, you can be assured of resource support, advocacy, and collaboration as you pursue your objectives.
Together, let us invest in education, skills development, and economic empowerment, so every young person in Okun land can reach their full potential. Let us preserve our rich cultural heritage, celebrate our traditions, and inspire future generations to take pride in their identity.
As we nurture and mentor the leaders of tomorrow, we must work hand in hand to advocate for our rights and interests. Together, we will shape policies that reflect our aspirations and safeguard our future.
In closing, I express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the establishment of the Okun Youth Alliance Movement. Even though I am not there in person today, know that I stand with you in spirit and am ready to support this initiative with all my strength. The journey ahead is ours to embrace, and I have every confidence that, together, we will build a vibrant and prosperous Okun land.
