Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA Heartily Celebrate Professor Olayemi Akinwunmi on his Diamond Jubilee
The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has expressed his heartwarming congratulations to an illustrious son of Okun land and an academic per excellence, Professor Olayemi Akinwunmi, the vice-chancellor Federal University, Lokoja on the auspicious occasion of his 60th birthday.
The Honourable Commissioner, in his congratulatory message, released through his media assistant, described the celebrant as an academic giant and educational developer who rose through the rank to the highest position in the class of scholars, which invariably underscores his commitment to the values of hard work, diligence, commitment to professional ethos, strength of character and affinity to transformative tenets.
Professor Olayemi Akinwunmi was appointed the 3rd vice-chancellor of Federal University,Lokoja, on Friday, 18th December 2020, after scaling heights of stringent selection process. He hails from ijumu Local Government.
In his words, ” Professor Olayemi Akinwunmi is a great son of Okun land who had bestrode the academic fiefdom with touch of excellence, the same phenomenal strides he’s currently engendering as the vice-chancellor of FUL. He’s visionary and performer in it true definition, and the testament is dotted in the landscape and history book of the higher institution.”
Asiwaju said it’s a thing of joy to celebrate a man of honour with heart flowing with milk of kindness and human compassion, whose sterling records are repleted with tales of love, sacrifice and help handed down to students that seeks for admission and job seekers who are engaged today because of his magnanimous stand.
