Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, the Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic planning, kogi state, who also doubles as the interim chairman of Kogi state internal revenue service, has once again added to his litany of awards in recognition of his dedicated service to humanity and immense support to the Nigerian Bar Association, Lokoja branch at their award night held yesterday, 4th of December, 2020.
The lokoja branch of NBA during there year 2020 law week tagged – Justice Administration; New Normal, presented the meritorious award to Asiwaju.
In his words, the branch chairman said, “the recipient has clearly demostrated leadership style that’s people and result oriented, which also promotes justice, equity and unity in the society”. I can confidently say, he’s one of the few public office holder that’s egalitarian in disposition and upholds the tenet of the law and constitution, prevailing over the misuse of power commonly associated with public office holders.
We are also thankful for his show of support to the branch; the confluence bar, saying he has added great value to the advancement of the bar and progressive service to humanity. Without micing words, he’s one of the leaders that deserves a greater role in the building process of this state and nation at large.
Asiwaju in his short remark, said he’s extremely excited and humbled by these prestigious award conferred on him, saying it’s a call to do more for our people, especially kogites and also the Nigerian Bar Association.
He dedicated the award to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for giving him the plartform to show his leadership capacity and witty. He also thanked kogites for their unflinching support, promised he will never let them down.
