Few days after a road accident claimed about nineteen passengers lives including a little baby in Ovia Bridge in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State , another full loaded Sienna car plugged into the same river killing all the passengers.
The situation on the Ovia river bridge has been so pathetic that it attracted the attention of the state government as it has kicked off plans to carry out parliatives on the failed portions.
At today’s incident , the Edo state Deputy governor Philip shaibu has to make funds available for the rescue of the Siena car as the Crane driver said it will cost one Million five hundred thousand Naira to bring out the Vehicle and the death passengers.
An eye witness told Nigerian Post that ,the Sienna Car vied into the river due to the bad spots on the bridge, adding that it was a very terrible situation that other vehicles have to stop and pip as there was nothing they could do to rescue the occupants Of the vehicle.
Nigerian Post recalls that not fewer than hundreds of lives has been lost in the Ovia river bridge since this year.
