MORE ENDORSEMENTS POUR IN FOR GOV. ODODO AS WORKPLACE SECURITY TEAM TAKES SENSITIZATION TO ADAVI LGA

…Adavi, Okehi Workers Pledge Double Votes for Tinubu and Ododo in 2027
The wave of support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo continued on Thursday as workers in Adavi and Okehi Local Government Areas openly endorsed the Governor and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, describing their leadership as pro-worker and people-oriented.
The endorsement came during the ongoing statewide Workplace Security and Workers’ Welfare Campaign, led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka.
In Adavi, workers received the team with excitement, while in Okehi, the atmosphere was equally charged with solidarity songs and appreciation for the Ododo administration.
Addressing the gathering in Adavi, the Director of Local Government, the Chairman of NULGE in the area, Comrade Shaibu Yakubu, and the Senior Special Assistant on Labour, Kogi Central, TV Hon. Badams Kadri, all commended Governor Ododo for prioritizing workers’ welfare.
Hon. Badams said workers have no option but to stand with the Governor in his second term bid, noting that Comrade Edoka’s leadership as a former labour leader turned political appointee has brought government closer to the workers. He assured that the people of Adavi will not disappoint at the polls.
In Okehi, the Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union, Comrade Asuku Adeiza, the DLG Abdullahi Abdullahi, and the Kogi State NULGE President, Comrade Muhammad Sanusi Inyanya, also spoke in glowing terms about the Governor.
Comrade Inyanya described the visit as a moment of celebration, saying Governor Ododo has placed workers’ welfare on the front burner. He praised the massive turnout of workers and said it was a clear sign of joy and acceptance of the administration.
The labour leaders unanimously noted that the Governor has touched workers’ lives positively through prompt salary payment, implementation of the new minimum wage, and other welfare packages. They pledged to double their votes for both Governor Ododo and President Tinubu in the coming general elections.
Various women groups were also on ground to entertain guests with cultural displays, adding colour to the sensitization exercise.
In his remarks, Comrade Onuh Edoka thanked the workers for their support and urged them to remain security conscious in their workplaces and communities. He said the Workplace Security Campaign is aimed at protecting jobs, consolidating welfare gains, and ensuring continuity of good governance.
The sensitization in Adavi and Okehi marks another major step in the campaign’s tour across Kogi State as government continues to engage workers at the grassroots on safety, welfare and political continuity.
