.. Resignation May Not Be Unconnected With The Controversial Section 84(12) Of Electoral Law
Thenigerianpost gathered that the resignation of Julius Olushola Abel as Special Assistant on New Media to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) M.O. Kolawole may not be unconnected to the ongoing controversies raised on the Section 84(12) of the Amended Electoral Law 2022.
Abel in his resignation letter addressed to the Office of the Secretary to Kogi State Government and made available to Thenigerianpost states that his resignation is to enable him pursue his aspiration.
Hon. Abel is aspiring to occupy Mopamuro Constituency seat in Kogi State House of Assembly.
In the letter which he also copied the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, he also appreciated the Speaker for the opportunity given to serve the people of Kogi State and in another letter addressed to the Speaker, he also appreciated him for launching him into his political journey.
