MOHAB People’s Care Foundation Organises Free Medical Outreach For Widows, Children Orphans In Lokoja


MOHAB People’s Care Foundation, (MPCF), has recently organised free medical outreach for widows, children, and orphans in Kabawa community in lokoja.

The medical outreach was designed to provide sustainable physical, mental, and emotional health care for the overall wellbeing and the services offered during the programme included general consultation/treatment and was designed to provide sustainable physical, mental, and emotional health care for the wellbeing of over 1,500 beneficiaries.

The services offered during the programme which took place at Primary Health Care, Kabawa in Lokoja, included general consultation/treatment, eye care with the provision of eyeglasses, dental care, laboratory tests (blood and urine), physiotherapy services, medications dispensary, screening for surgeries, cancer screening, and trauma management.

The Foundation Chairman, Muhammed Abubakar a.k.a Chukwuemeka, represented by Ali Abdullahi, explained that the medical outreach diagnoses patient and gives medication free of charge.

He added that patients that require further evaluation of the outreach’s assessment are being referred to see specialists in various hospitals where the foundation takes care of all their medical bills.

Abubakar, while calling on philanthropists and other Non-Governmental Organizations to invest in saving lives, also announced that the foundation also engages in assisting less privileged people mostly women and youths with empowerment packages.

He said: “Like most of our initiatives, we recognize that a programme is vital for curbing the health challenges and trauma experienced by widows, their children, and orphans as a result of the cultural mistreatment they face. The Foundation is offering a comprehensive health care service to ensure that the beneficiaries receive the care and support they need for a healthy and fulfilling life.

We encourage well-meaning Nigerians to continue to partner with us to provide other services, as we work together to create a brighter future for widows, their children, and orphans.”

Appreciating the organizers on behalf of Kubwa community, Hajiya Talatu Musa commended the MOHAB Foundation for the free health mission.

She appreciated them for organizing health outreach for the residents, among other things.“They always support us with educational materials, training, and the empowerment of our people.”

“We appreciate all these gestures and promise to always ensure their smooth operation in our environment.”

Talatu however appealed to all the beneficiaries to comply with all the advice medical doctors gave them and also ensure they take their drugs as prescribed.
