Minority leader: Tambuwal, Dickson storm PDP Secretariat, Demands letter to Senate.


 

Ahead of Tuesday election of the Senate Minority leader, the foremost aspirants, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, and Seriake Dickson and other aggrieved members of the PDP on Monday afternoon stormed the National Secretariat of the party demanding for the transmission letter nominating candidate of the party for the seat of Minority leader in the Senate.

 

The PDP lawmakers however met a stiff resistance at the gate, as the PDP lawmakers were asked to approach the other PDP members and to canvas for votes on the floor of the House.

The Senators who were disturbed by the action of Party leadership who turned them back, insisting that according to the order of the House, they should approach all members of the Assembly and canvass for vote on the floor of the House.

Speaking with newsmen, Sen. Aminu Tambuwal said they approached members of the NWC to transmit a letter to the leadership of the National Assembly for the parties choice , but were barred from seeing the leadership of the party.

Similarly, Sen. Dickson urged the NWC to cause a letter to the National leadership, insisting that the PDP Senators have already arrived at their choice.
