Oladele Nihi, Vice President West Africa of the Pan-African Youth Union, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to West Africa workers, as much as, Global workers on this year’s International Workers’ Day.
Having recently returned to Nigeria from a 9 days working visit to the United Nations Headquarters, New York (United States of America), where he attended the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum, Nihi is keenly aware of the critical role of a vibrant and motivated workforce in driving sustainable human development.
He remarked that the Pan-African Youth Union is pleased to join fellow international societies in commemorating International Workers’ Day by celebrating the social and economic achievements of workers worldwide.
“On this day, we honor workers around the world for their resilience, bravery, and steadfastness in the face of economic challenges”, he said.
The prominent African youth leader noted with respect and admiration the dedication of the workers in West Africa to continued progress, social justice, development and peace. He expressed his gratitude to their conscientious efforts towards the betterment of their communities.
“As we celebrate the contributions of workers around the world, we honor the legacy of labor movements and their struggle to ensure fair and just working conditions for all people.”
Furthermore, Nihi express profound gratitude to all workers across West Africa and globally who have continued to pursue relentlessly the vision of social justice, improving the socio-economic conditions of people, empowering women and youth and promoting peace, unity, and prosperity.
