BY Dr. Kenneth S S ENEBE

Arising from the November 11th, 2023 kogi governorship election in which APC governorship candidate Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo was duly voted and elected by majority of the electorate who believed in the kogi agenda as opposed to the SDP gov’ship candidate Muri Ajaka’s igalla ethnic agenda was a collective decision by the good people of kogi state to embrace peaceful co-existence, development and progress of the state.

It’s on public record with various awards and accolades that kogi state has been one of the most secured and safest states under governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for almost 8 years until the 2023 election when the likes of Muri Ajaka joined the gov’ship race under SDP Party after losing APC governorship primary election ticket and became an ethnic war merchandise in action and character with his supporters anywhere in kogi state.

It’s worthy to note here that SDP Muri Ajaka was not the only opposition party candidate in the 2023 kogi election; it’s therefore laughable, suspicious, reckless, fundamentally embarrassing and capable of causing anarchy and disorder in kogi state to seek and be granted court order for the kogi state governor Yahaya Adoza Bello to pay N500m to SDP’Muri Ajaka “For violation of his fundamental human rights”.
The import of this judgement is an invitation to more litigation cases by affected groups and individuals against Muri Ajaka, SDP and it’s supporters crimes against the peace of the state and incidents that affected human lives which are on records as following:
✓ The killing of innocent people in kogi East who do not buy into Muri Ajaka’s ethnic agenda.
✓ The severe death threats on the kogi indigenes from other senatorial zones and non indigenes that lives in kogi East,
✓ The killing of a female indigene of koto karfi local govt under the watch of Muri Ajaka during his campaign in the area which they claimed she was a thug for an opposition party hence Ajaka’s, SDP and supporters took the law into their hands to take her life.
✓ The assassinations and circulation of deaths attempts carried out by Muri Ajaka and his supporters on the governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
✓ Muri Ajaka during the same period appeared on Channels national Tv interview where he addressed, dehumanized, caused mental pain and culpable anger by referring and called the kogi central and Egbira ethnic race as a “Common Enemy” which is against the Egbira ethnic fundamental human rights.
✓ The SDP and Muri Ajaka supporters lead by Mr. Simon Achuba conveyed a national conference during the same period where the kogi state governor Yahaya Adoza Bello an indigene of kogi Central (Egbiras) was called and referred to as “ANIMALS” which dehumanized and violated the fundamental human rights of Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and his ancestral generational Egbira people causing mental pains and culpable anger.

Before and during the election there are evidences of harassment, intimidation of the security agents posted on election duties, gun running by thugs, threats and killing in kogi East in particular which attest to the do or die of Muri Ajaka, SDP and supporters ethnic agenda, in all of the few itemized criminal cases above, who should seek protection? whose fundamental rights have been violated? who should the court ordered to tender an unending apology and pay huge monetary sums to serve as a deterrent against the collateral and generational fundamental human rights, mental pains and damages? These are serious arising issues and questions begging for actions and answers.
