The Maigari of Lokoja Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III, represented by the Chief
Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaaban, has performed the turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Usman Tauheed Turbaned as Imam of JNI Masjid, advised the new Imam to imbibe the fear of God as his first principle in leading his congregation.
The Maigari congratulated him on the appointment, urged him to sustain his prayers for the Government and people of Kogi State.
He lauded the JNI for the efforts to build the Masjid, tasked Muslim faithful to always have the fear of God and to love their neighbors at all times.
In a remarks, the State Chairman of JNI, Ambassador Usman Bello said the emergence of Alhaji Tauheed as Imam was a result of a painstaking and transparent process and called for the cooperation of all to ensure his success.
In a vote of thanks, the Secretary of Kogi State JNI, Alhaji Isa Adeboye thanked all those who contributed to making the event a huge success.
The occasion featured goodwill messages from FOMWAN Kogi State, NACOMYO and Ajaokuta Steel Territory Muslim Community.
The new Imam, Alhaji Usman Tauheed later conducted his first Jumuah service where he called for a halt to insurgency and banditory in the country describing it as UnGodly.
The service was attended by Hon Muhammad Dan Asabe, Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, the Ohiogba of Mozum, Alhaji Khalid Ali Bukar, the Onu Itobe, Alhaji Salihu Adaji among others.
