Nigerians have been urged to see learning and acquiring of knowledge towards making the society a better place as an activity that has no age limit.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris made the disclosure at a reception ceremony held at the weekend in honour of three prominent Kogi Indigenes, Dr. Hussein Adinoyi Etudaiye (DaddyHuss), Engr. Abdulrahman Okino Otuoze Ph.d and Dr. Juliet Okibayi Muoneme (Dr. JJ)
who were recently bagged Doctorate Degrees and PhD.
The reception ceremony in honor of their Conferment of Doctorate Degrees was held at the Hilltop Hotel, Phase 1 and organised by family members and friends of the Doctorate Degree recipients also featured presented of outstanding award of excellence on the recipients.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance described the feat achieved by the Kogi State Indigenes as no mean an achievements, expressed satisfaction that the knowledge acquired by the trio has greatly impacted on the state.
Asiwaju Idris particularly paid glowing tribute to the wonderful Contributions of Dr. Hussein Adinoyi Etudaiye (DaddyHuss), in helping to Improve on the Agricultural Sector of the state, stated that his support in helping the state sustain its comparative advantage in the cassava value chain production remains unrivaled.
Asiwaju Idris also commended Engr. Abdulrahman Okino Otuoze PhD, described his accomplishments not minding age and humble beginning as an example for the present generation, urged young people to see focus and passion as a staying power to making success in life.
Similarly, Asiwaju Idris praised Dr. Juliet Okibayi Muoneme (Dr. JJ), for her resilience, said she has once again proven that women from the State have the capacity to be leading light, described her attainment as a morale booster for the girl Child education.
Asiwaju Idris described the present administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello as one that is resolutely committed to improving the educational Sector, lauded the Governor for making education a thematic area in his administration’s Program.
He pointed out that the educational Sector in the State under the Gov. Bello’s administration earned the highest budgetary allocation in the last budget, the first ever since the creation of the State, described Gov. Bello as one committed to quality learning and teaching.
The Commissioner urged the trio to use the knowledge acquired in the upliftment of the State, assuring that their efforts in contributing to the Socio Economic development of the State would never go unnoticed.
The recipients at the reception, amidst friends and family members, could not hide their joy, said the attainment of the Doctorate Degrees was a product of hard work and dedication, thanked Family Members and friends for the support and encouragement given to them to excel.
Speaking at the reception Dr. Hussein Adinoyi Etudaiye (DaddyHuss), dedicated the attainment of the Doctorate Degree to Almighty God, described the journey as one with numerous Challenges, assured that the knowledge acquired would be chanelled into making the State the envy amongst commity of states in Nigeria.
