The instrumentality of the esteemed office of a Local Govt. Chairman to create Establishments or Agencies, necessary for the smooth running of the Council Administration can not be over emphasised.
In Lokoja Local Govt. this need has been met by the Council Chairman, but in a negative way as it has turned against the public expectations and became a swindling center of the innocent citizens and Associations which KUPA FADAMA FARMERS UNITY ASSOCIATION is a victim of several casualties and the council Chairman who created this agency refused to act justly and to uncover the swindling within his prescient office.
Our Association applied for one of the 100 new Tractors His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello purchased and disbursed to the 21 Local Govt. Areas of the State which Lokoja Local Govt. has 6 fleets.
Our Association KUFFUA is swindled by the Local Govt. DSO, a sum of N377,000:00 entrusted on him as an initial deposit for a 2 weeks work in Kupa believing his claims that he was going to convince the Council Chairman to approve one of the tractors for the Association and continuously using that as a tactical approach to swindled the Association the said sum of N377,000:00 between March 27th and 27th April 2021 and lying to the Association that its application would be the first one the chairman will approve and we would be the first one to move out with the tractor from the pool.
These have now turned out to be lied and the council chairman kept quite over it to uncovering the untruth. The statistics of how the Local Govt. DSO swindled KUFFUA through his phone calls and SMS are hereby ran down for perusal.
We as an Association have suffered hatreds from the hands of the DSO and going through our available record, close to N800,000:00 is accounted as damages.
This included our costly constructed GYB2PYB Billboards of 2 face at a cost of NI75,000:00 pulled down by him sometimes in March this year.
The KUPA FADAMA FARMERS UNITY ASSOCIATION, Kuffua, hereby appeal to the Lokoja Local Govt. Chairman, Hon. Alh. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed to have a change of heart and uncover the untruth of his DSO’s misdemeanor and compel him to refund the said amount and the damages the Association has suffered by his action of wrongful pulling down our costly constructed 2 face of 2 GYB2PYB Billboards at the cost of N175,000:00.
In addition to above, the chairman should look into our case of time sensitivity which is the raining season that has completely set in and our Association cannot do without being in the farm and with the debts still in hold by his DSO who believe in using his security apparatus to intimidate the innocents citizens, and is already boasting over and over not to complete refunding the Association to redeem it from
further suffering and damages.
The Association equally appeals to His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello to find out about the truth of this matter and rescue the KUFFUA.
