A Member of the All Progressives Congress in Lokoja Local Government Area, Hajiya Ladi Galili and other members of the party in Ward E are protesting the alledged imposition of Hon. Hajiya Aishat Umar as Councillorship candidate in the forthcoming Local Government Election slated for October 9.
In a protest march by the women of the Party, called on the State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo as well the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello to come to the aid of the party in the Ward.
Speaking with Journalists, they alleged that the imposed Councillorship candidate is not from the Ward.
Though they claimed that she had at one time lived in the Ward, was however not a bonafide member of the Ward.
They added that Hon. Hajiya Aishat Umar lives in Ward A, lamented that some powers that be in attempt to frustrate the efforts of bonafide member of the Ward, are bent on imposition.
The women however warned that the action to force her on members of the Ward would boomerang, assuring that the APC may lose the election owing to the imposition.
They therefore called on the APC at the State and Governor Ododo to nip in the bud the impending failure that may greet the party in the forthcoming Local Government election in Lokoja LGA.
