Leadership Centre for Civil and Post Trauma Rehabilitation Commends team of Security Forces especially the intelligence Community led by the Department of State Services DSS Zamfara State Command for boldly engaging and decimating the notorious Armed Bandits operating around Matuzgi village axis of Talata Mafara LGA in Zamfara.
The news about how Security forces and villagers duelled in a 2 hour gunfight with the attackers, killing 25 bandits is heartwarming.
Further ambush of the surviving bandits whom retreated towards Magamin Diddi village in Maradun LGA, resulting in the killing of additional 10 bandit, bringing the total number killed to 35 is a significant impact in the fight against terror in the trouble North West region.
While this Coordinated Security Prowess has brought considerable sigh of relief to the Local Community including Commuters in the affected areas, the Leadership Centre use this medium to urge the intelligence Community in Zamfara and other Neighboring States of Kebbi & Sokoto to operate in synergy until these criminal elements are totally and completely annihilated.
Also, the Frontline Community must be willing to share vital information with the Security so that action agencies can promptly strike where need be.
Meanwhile, we equally call on the government at National, Sub National and even the Local Government Areas to form high power committee consisting of Respectable government officials, Leadership of faithbased group, verifiable Civil Society Organizations, representative of traditional institution and the Security community etc to identify and meaningfully engage with various armed group across the country for dialogue with the view to explore acceptable options of interventions towards addressing respective grievances.
