The Lawmaker Representing Yagba Federal Constituency Hon. Leke Abejide paid the third series of his yearly presentation of WAEC FEES to all SS3 students in both public and private secondary schools across Yagba.
Remember, Hon. Leke Abejide promised to pay for five years during his campaign, he paid a year before the election in 2019. This is part of his scorecard to determine if the faith overwhelmingly reposed in him is justified.
For the first year of the payment over #45Million was paid, last year over #70 Million was paid as WAEC fees inclusive of all administrative charges as well. For this year the value is still the same as last year.
Past years before the intervention of Hon. Leke Abejide, many parents experienced difficulties in paying for their children, in many cases, it resorted to sorry tales in an attempt to fulfil this mandatory responsibility, some resulted in loans, while some unable to meet up the deadline for payment.
These amongst many other reasons inspired the determination of Hon. Leke to continue to pay for every student, irrespective of their background be it Christian, Muslims, Traditional Faith, ADC, APC, PDP, APGA, Male or Female.
Hon. Leke believes that Yagba children will excel educationally among their peers, anywhere, they find themselves.
Hon. Leke Abejide appealed to all parents to monitor their children towards seriousness and hard work in their studies while also addressing the students to use this opportunity to work hard and ensure that they pass.
The widows’ empowerment program is a twin sister of the waec payment program by Leke Abejide foundation. The widows’ empowerment cut across all communities in Yagba to a total of 6500 Widows. Provision of Food and Clothing materials for every one of them.
Hon. Leke Abejide further stated that the voices of the people is been heard loud and clear, he assured that Federal interventions will begin to have more impacts in Yagba.
The roads are my concern and so were captured in the budget he said.
