KSP Acting Rector Inaugurates Committees to Complete Hostels, … Gives One Month Period For Completion


 

The Acting Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Usman Ogbo says the institution is adopting the Public Private Partnership in the completion of the schools hostels, assured that the hostels would be delivered in the next thirty days.

Dr. Usman Ogbo made the disclosure while inaugurating Seven different Committees, gave them a one month matching order to complete the hostels of the Institution, disclosed that through the approval of Gov. Yahaya Bello, the institution secured a Zenith bank loan of N268million for the completion of the hostels.

The Acting Rector commended Gov. Yahaya Bello for the approval, said the hostel would be completed through direct labour approach as approved by the government.

Dr. Ogbo said the institution would rely on its highly committed and integrity proven experts and staff, urged them to work assiduously in meeting the objectives in view of the
risk in view of the trust and confidence reposed on them.

The Rector directed that the completion work would run simultaneously, assured of his determination to continue to put Kogi State Polytechnic on the global map of academic excellence.

He pointed out that the Students of the institution were included in the Committees, said the time for them to be involved in the decision making is now, urged the experts, staff and students to make judicious use of the opportunity.

The terms of reference of the Committees Includes: roofings, structural work, fencing, drainage, painting amongst others that would see to the finishing of the hostels.

The Acting Rector inaugurated six committees made up of main hostel 1-12, Mary Ajayi, London hostel, London hostel 1-2, Afakariya, Wada Hostel 1-2 and the Central monitoring committee, headed by the Acting Rector.
