Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has called on Members and Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State to prioritize unity and peaceful engagement within the party.
In a chat with newsmen, Senator Karimi said the focus of APC members at this time should be on working together to secure an overwhelming victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
The Senator described politics as a grassroots and community-driven endeavor. He urged party members to reach out to voters at the grassroots and mobilize support ahead of the polls.
“Kogi is an APC state, and the achievements of the APC administration, coupled with the collective effort of our members, should remain our guiding focus,” Senator Karimi stated. “When we work together, we strengthen the party and deliver better results for our people.”
He noted that maintaining unity and cohesion should be uppermost in the minds of members, adding that divisive tendencies can weaken the strength and influence of the APC. The Senator restated his commitment to togetherness at all levels of the party and commended the resilience of APC members in Kogi for keeping the party strong and leading in the state.
Senator Karimi also lauded the gains being recorded under President Tinubu’s administration, saying Kogi State is well positioned for victory if party members can set aside differences that may lead to division. He assured of his continued support for the APC at all levels in the state.
“I remain committed to making the APC strong and united in Kogi State in every way possible,” he said. “The APC is the vehicle through which Nigeria can return to its rightful place among the comity of nations, and Kogi must continue to play a leading role.”
Party stakeholders across Kogi West have continued to welcome calls for internal harmony, describing unity as key to sustaining the APC’s dominance and delivering development to communities across the seven local government areas of the district.
