Kogi West Deserves Continuity: Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo Urges Massive Support for Senator Sunday Steve Karimi’s Second Term Bid

July 30, 2026
As political activities continue to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, a prominent political advocate and social media commentator, Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo, has passionately called on the people of Kogi West Senatorial District to remain steadfast in their support for the re-election of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, describing him as a visionary leader whose commitment to the welfare and development of the district has earned him the confidence and admiration of the electorate.
According to Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo, the journey toward sustainable development and meaningful representation should not be interrupted when a performing lawmaker is already laying a solid foundation for greater progress. He noted that Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has demonstrated uncommon dedication to effective representation, quality leadership, and people-oriented governance since assuming office as the Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly.
He stressed that leadership should always be evaluated on the basis of performance, accessibility, integrity, and commitment to public service rather than empty political rhetoric. In his view, Senator Karimi has continued to distinguish himself as a responsive representative who understands the yearnings and aspirations of the people across the seven local government areas that make up Kogi West Senatorial District.
Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo explained that the dividends of democracy facilitated by Senator Karimi have continued to impact communities in different sectors, including education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, women development, human capital advancement, security support, and community development initiatives. These interventions, he said, have restored confidence among the people and reaffirmed that quality representation remains the cornerstone of democratic governance.
He further maintained that the Senator’s commitment to attracting federal presence to Kogi West has positioned the district on a path of accelerated growth. According to him, numerous empowerment programmes, educational support initiatives, infrastructure projects, healthcare interventions, and constituency development programmes have positively affected thousands of residents, making Senator Karimi one of the most result-oriented representatives the district has produced in recent years.
“The people of Kogi West deserve continuity, stability, and purposeful leadership,” Comr. Olorunhudo Taiwo stated. “Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he possesses the experience, political maturity, legislative competence, and administrative capacity required to deliver even greater dividends of democracy if entrusted with another mandate.”
He emphasized that governance is a continuous process that requires consistency, vision, and institutional memory. For this reason, he argued that granting Senator Karimi another term in office would ensure that ongoing developmental projects are completed while new initiatives capable of transforming the district are introduced.
Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo also commended the Senator for maintaining close relationships with his constituents through regular consultations and engagements. He observed that true representation extends beyond sponsoring motions and bills in the National Assembly, but also includes listening to the people, responding to their concerns, and ensuring that government policies positively impact ordinary citizens.
He urged political stakeholders, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organizations, women groups, professionals, artisans, students, religious bodies, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kogi West to close ranks and unite behind Senator Karimi’s second-term aspiration.
According to him, elections should provide an opportunity for citizens to reward competence, credibility, and proven performance. He maintained that Senator Karimi has built a record worthy of public endorsement and deserves the overwhelming support of the electorate in the forthcoming election.
Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo further appealed to young people throughout the senatorial district to participate actively in the democratic process by mobilizing support for leaders with verifiable achievements. He described the youth as the driving force behind political development and urged them to protect the future of Kogi West by supporting experienced and productive leadership.
He added that continuity in quality representation would strengthen Kogi West’s voice at the National Assembly, enhance the district’s capacity to attract additional federal projects, and consolidate the developmental gains already recorded under Senator Karimi’s tenure.
While acknowledging that no administration is without challenges, Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo expressed confidence that Senator Karimi possesses the wisdom, resilience, and determination to overcome obstacles and continue delivering impactful representation for every community across Kogi West.
He therefore called on eligible voters to remain united, peaceful, and committed to the democratic process, urging them to reject divisive politics and instead embrace leaders whose records of service inspire confidence and hope.
“As we look toward the future of Kogi West, our collective responsibility is to support leaders who have consistently demonstrated sincerity of purpose and an unwavering commitment to public service. Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has shown the capacity, competence, and compassion required to move Kogi West to greater heights. His re-election will undoubtedly consolidate the developmental strides already achieved and open new opportunities for our people.”
Comr. Olorunhudo Samuel Taiwo concluded by expressing optimism that the people of Kogi West would once again make the right decision by renewing Senator Karimi’s mandate, thereby ensuring continuity in effective representation, accelerated development, and the delivery of more democratic dividends across the entire senatorial district.
