CPI Honours Outgoing Communications Officer, Amos Blessing Udo, In Colourful Send-forth

It was an evening of tributes, emotions and celebration as the Challenged Parenthood Initiative (CPI) organized a befitting Send-Forth Gathering in honour of its outgoing Communications Officer, Ms. Amos Blessing Udo.

The event, held at the Lounge 1, was graced by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prof. John Alabi, management, staff and well-wishers.

In his charge, Prof. Alabi said excellence is not measured in numbers but in a life of impact.

He told the celebrant that the secret of success is to make God her concern and her own concerns will become no concern, urging her to see service to humanity as her focus.

“Make God your concern and your concern becomes no concern. See service to humanity as your focus, it comes with joy and fulfilment,” Prof. Alabi said.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Executive Director of CPI, Eunice Abimbola Agbogun, described Blessing as an exceptional staff who works under pressure yet delivers excellently.

According to her, Blessing was more than just a staff but became a daughter to the organization.

“She was not just a staff, she became a daughter. Meeting her changed so many things. We retained her after her NYSC and she became our Communications Officer. We brought her up and she trained herself well, and that is why we are gathering together for her sake. If we had our way, we would not let her go because we need her most,” Agbogun said.

She said CPI in its own little way decided to celebrate her to demonstrate that it pays to be hardworking and good.

“Her qualities are well noticed, particularly in the area of collaboration. She is an Ambassador of CPI wherever she goes. We love her and appreciate her. She transitioned from an exceptional corps member to Communications Officer and Programme Officer with exceptional qualities,” she added.

In their separate tributes and testimonials, Mrs. Adebola, Emmanuel Audu, Oluwakemi Omeiza Usman, Chairperson of FIDA, Kogi State, and other colleagues showered encomiums on Blessing, describing her as a woman of brilliance, character, selfless service and hard work.

Highlights of the send-forth were presentation of Certificate of Service, Letter of Appreciation and Special Commendation, as well as presentation of Award, a financial token of appreciation and lots gifts from well wishers.

In her response, Ms. Amos Blessing Udo, visibly moved, expressed profound appreciation to the Board, management and staff of CPI for the special show of love and honour bestowed on her, pledging to remain a worthy ambassador of the organization wherever she goes.

The event climaxed with final well-wishes, prayers and a group photo session.
