Kogi West 2023: Hon. Karimi Gets Ohimegye Igu-Koton-karfe’s Blessings


 

 

The Ohimegye Igu-Koton-karfe in Kogi State, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto has given his royal blessings to the Senatorial ambition of Hon. Sunday Karimi, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Kogi West District.

The revered first class monarch gave the blessing during his tour of the district at the weekend was in company of the State Assembly candidate for Kogi constituency, Hon. Idrees Maikudi, former lawmaker who represented Lokoja 1 constituency and Director General, Karimi Campaign Organization, Hon. Suleiman Babadoko, Kogi LGC Chairman, Hon Aliyu Dauda, APC stalwarts and host of supporters.

Mr. Sunday Karimi said he was in Koton-karfe Kingdom to formally inform His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto of his preparedness to go into election and as a son he came for his royal blessing and prayer.

Karimi a two term former house of representatives member who represented Yagba federal constituency assured of quality and excellent legislative in the senate if given the mandate by the good people of the district.

“I know the needs of my people, I will legislate mainly on what will bring more development, to sustain peace and cooperate with executive arm of government to bring infrastructure to my district and constituency.”

“We are on a tour to interact with people, get to know ourselves and how to solve our immediate problems so that when we assume office we can start from there.” Karimi Stated.

Responding, Ohimegye in council, HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto, expressed joy and showered encomiums on him upon disclosing his manifestos, which he believed would better the lives of the people of Kogi West Senatorial District.

At the LG party office in Koton-karfe, the Senatorial candidate was received by the Commissioner for solid minerals and natural resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir (Gegu) and other stakeholders.

Present during the occasion include, Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, former state lawmaker who represented the area, Hon. Saidu Akawu Salihu, Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Rilwan Bala Ette, LG Party Chairman, Woman leader and political appointees from the area.

The political leader of the area, Engineer Bashir Gegu used the opportunity to drum support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Sunday Karimi and all other candidates of the party.

Bashir Gegu noted that Governor Yahaya Bello’s position was from bottom to top and that where they and the order must be carried or accomplished in the next month elections.

He prayed that God should combine to protect and guide the Governor for his exemplary leadership rendered to the people of Kogi State.

Engr. Gegu however cautioned the senatorial candidate not to disappoint the governor, adding that he should carry the people along in the scheme of things.

The team headed to zone C for the continuation of consultation with relevant stakeholders.
