KOGI WATER RESOURCES COMMISSIONER, ENGR. FAROUK, CONGRATULATES CUSTECH VC ON “OUTSTANDING” 133RD INAUGURAL LECTURE AT FUT MINNA

The Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya M.D Farouk, FNSE, has congratulated the Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, on the successful delivery of the 133rd Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, Engr. Farouk described the lecture as a “remarkable and well-deserved honor” that showcased the intellectual depth and academic leadership of the CUSTECH Vice Chancellor.
The lecture, titled “FROM NATURE TO NATURE: THE MIRAGE OF MATERIALS LONGEVITY”, drew wide commendation from guests and stakeholders at the event.
According to the Commissioner, the Vice Chancellor did justice to the topic and the lecture. I am too proud and impressed,” the Commissioner said.
He noted that Prof. Salawu’s presentation was well delivered, apt, and could not have come at a better time than now, given the national discourse around infrastructure durability, material science, and sustainable development.
“As a fellow engineer, I followed the lecture with keen interest. The Vice Chancellor brought clarity, depth and practical relevance to a subject that is critical to our nation’s development. It was an intellectual tour de force,” Engr. Farouk stated.
The Commissioner added that the feat has further brought pride to Kogi State and to the academic community, describing Prof. Salawu as a worthy ambassador of the state in the Ivory Tower.
He prayed for God’s continued wisdom and strength upon the Vice Chancellor as he leads CUSTECH to greater heights.
Prof. Salawu, an erudite scholar and engineer, is the Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Kogi State.
