–Woos WACL for scholarship for Josites,
– Praised Its Stakeholders Engagement Policy with host Communities
Saturday 11th September, 2021, Josites in Kogi State will as part of their celebrations for her annual event, 4 in 1 ceremony induct Mr. Bhaskar Rao as a Member of the prestigious chapter of the University of Jos Alumni Association, Kogi state. Mr. Bhaskar Rao is the General Manager, West African Ceramics Limited based in Ajaokuta LGA of Kogi State.
According to Mr. Segun Medupin, the Chairman of the Unijos Alumni Annual Ceremony Planning Committee, Mr Rao has shown positive commitments to the society through the West African Ceramics Limited as General Manager. Under his leadership, partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders in solid minerals were built and enhanced for the improvement of the social economic life of Nigerian society. More jobs were created and livelihood improved across all strata particularly amongst the host community.
Also at the event, the West African Ceramics Limited would also be awarded for her good sense of improvement of the social economic life of its host community by the award of Host Communities’ Friendship Award to the company in recognition of her contributions to the host community.
The Honourary Membership Status of the General Manager and the award of Host Communities’ Friendship Award on the company will promote the visibility and acceptability of the products of the company by the academia, professional practitioners, research institutes and the market with the aim of promoting its sales.
The release also added that the association intend to build a partnership with the WACL particularly towards the offer of scholarships to students of the University of Jos as part of the company’s social responsibility. It would also be recalled that the Alumni association in recent time has called on cooperate organisations to pick up arcades the ongoing Alumni National secretariat Building in Jos. This arcades is to signify partnership.
The release also reads that ‘by this status, Mr. Bhaskar Rao will have the rights and privileges as a member of this chapter and will henceforth be referred to as A GREAT JOSITE’, Great Josite is the slang name for all members of the UNIJOS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.
