…SDPs Muri Ajaka Fails to Produce Star Witness in Court Today *Again* as they begin playing Cha-cha
“When the brothers of Joseph sold him to slavery, they returned home to inform their father that their brother had been killed by a wild animal”; the following were the Biblical sarcasm used by the Defense counsel, Kanu Agabi, SAN, begging the SDP lawyers to produce their star witness after wasting the time of everyone at the Tribunal *yesterday and today*.
The defense counsel of APCs Ododo was curious as to why a star witness of that magnitude which the SDP had built their entire case on would suddenly stop coming to court *on the ground that he is sick*.
In the submission of the prosecuting counsels, the court was told that their witness currently suffers from stomach kwashiokor from excess dysentery. One would wonder when the dysentery would cease for the witness to be produced in court by SDP lawyers as some APC Youths have volunteered to buy the witness Flagyl as the case must continue because “Ododo no gree for them again”.
In aligning with reality of jumping their own gun, the lead prosecuting counsel, Okutepa, SAN, started tendering “screenshots” which according to him were from BVAS. The court admitted the screenshots in evidence, however, much is left to be desired on how screenshots can be taken of BVAS result when it is not a birthday selfie. As we know, birthday Selfies can be manipulated by simple editing.
The gradual loss of steam and ideas from the SDP team can be attributed to the dawning of reality as to where the tribunal case is tilting to.
The Tribunal Sitting at the National Judicial Center, Abuja, would continue tomorrow, however, from today, we are begging them to produce the star witness because they cannot abandon the case halfway after wearing the garb of emotions and waking up to the reality of maturity when it matters.
