Kogi still remains most safest place for residents, travelers in Nigeria – Comr. Abdullahi, Lokoja LGA Chairman
The Executive Chairman, Lokoja LGA, Comr. Abdullahi Adamu has assured that Kogi State still remains the most safest place for residents and travelers plying the Lokoja Obajana road.
The Council Chairman expressed optimism that the insecurity that seems to have been witnessed along Lokoja Obajana road in the last few weeks, has now been handled, assured that from now henceforth, during and after the yuletide season, no case of insecurity will be witnessed again.
He promised that now, till after the yuletide season, assured that no incidence of kidnapping and armed robbery will again be noticed on the Lokoja Obajana road corridor, insisting that the end of the criminals has come.
Comr. Abdullahi gave the assurances when he played host to working Journalists from Lokoja, said the full compliments of Military men, working with local hunters and Vigilantes have been activated and deployed to the Lokoja Obajana road.
The Chairman explained that Lokoja Local Government Vigilantees working with the military are presently combing the forest and bushes along the corridor to ensure that criminal elements are flushed out from the area.
Comr. Abdullahi said the holiday period for criminals, instilling fear in the minds of the people is gone, reassured that Kogi State still remains the safest State in Nigeria.
The Chairman explained that the same set of criminal elements making life unbearable for travellers along the Lokoja Obajana road would be apprehended, allyed the fears of citizens and motorists, warned the criminal elements to take their leave or else their end he said has come.
The Chairman mentioned that in terms of insecurity, the State still remains the most safest across the country, commended the administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for making lives and properties a priority.
While he cautioned those making inflammatory statements about the security situation of the State to have a rethink and retrace in their unfavorable remarks, assured that every part of Lokoja LGA and the entire State is safe to live and do business.
The Chairman explained that the efforts to rescue almost all students of Confluence University of Science and Technology without the payment of ransom by the administration of Gov Ododo, underscores the premium Gov. Ododo places on securing lives and properties.
He lauded the administration of Gov Ododo for making the State safer, urged Journalists to rather than dissipate energy on isolated cases of insecurity whenever it occurs, help showcase the good works of Gov Ododo in the areas of fighting security that has become a nationwide issues.
He urged the Media to project the positive achievements of Gov. Ododo, pointing out that the roads in the State are safe for traveling with several unprecedented achievements recorded by the administration in the few months.
The Chairman explained that the success story of his administration thus far can be hinges on the engagement of round pegs to work with him, pointing out that his philosophy is to bring on board people who are yearning to positively serve the State diligently.
The Chairman called for constructive criticism and advise from the citizens that will enable him deliver on his promises to the people.
The Chairman expressed appreciation to the Media for beaming their searchlight on his administration, assured that no stone would be left unturned in providing good leadership for the people of Lokoja.

Abdullahi for hitting the ground running with his people oriented policies and programs since assumption of office as Chairman of Lokoja LGA.
