Kogi State’s Rural Road Revolution Begins As RAAMP Assigns Sites To Contractors

Lokoja, October 29, 2024

The Kogi State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) under the Kogi Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAM), led by Engr Sheidu Adamu Obansa , has reiterated its commitment to smooth project executions across the state.

Engr Obansa gave the assurance during a meeting with Contractors to handle the phase 1 Backlog maintenance /Rehabilitation of 65.25km in the state.

Recalled that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, recently flag-off of the phase 1 Backlog maintenance /Rehabilitation of 65.25km.

The meeting offered an open platform for in-depth discussions, suggestions, and the alignment of project objectives.

The meeting is essential interface between the construction supervision consultant, BOLCON Associates, and the contractors: Swaleys Construction Company, Zarcus Construction, and ECL JV Global Integrated Concept Limited.

Engineer Obansa reassured all stakeholders that efforts are being intensified to address outstanding issues and streamline operations.

“Under the leadership of Governor Ododo, the government remains focused on delivering sustainable development that brings a fresh hope to rural residents” the Coordinator stated.

Following the discussions, contractors were officially handed over their respective sites, paving the way for a transformative journey ahead.

With contractors now assigned their respective sites, Kogi State is set to usher in a new era of infrastructure development. Together, we’re building a brighter future for our rural dwellers!

This RAAMP intervention signals a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for rural dwellers, with the call for all stakeholders to work together towards achieving timely and impactful results.
