Kogi State PDP Youth Leader Congratulates the People’s Senator, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and her Constituents
The Kogi State Youth Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District following the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the recall process initiated by Charity Ijese Omole and her associates failed to meet the legal requirements enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Hon. Adazaki commended INEC for upholding the law and rejecting what he described as a fraudulent attempt to destabilize the political atmosphere in Kogi Central. He specifically praised the commission’s decision to reject the illegal recall process, noting that the move was a direct violation of legal procedures.
The PDP Youth Leader also called for swift action from the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Inspector General of Police to arrest Charity Ijese Omole and her collaborators for their roles in initiating the baseless and unlawful recall campaign. Hon. Adazaki emphasized that the actions of Omole and her group were not only unlawful but also potentially dangerous to the peace and stability of the Kogi Central Senatorial District, warning that such acts of deception could incite unrest if left unaddressed.
He further stressed the importance of protecting the integrity of Nigeria’s democratic processes, urging the relevant authorities to take immediate and decisive action to prevent similar fraudulent attempts from undermining the nation’s democracy. He warned that any further delay in addressing the matter could embolden others to engage in such unlawful conduct.
Finally, Hon. Adazaki congratulated Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for her resilience in the face of these challenges and commended the good people of Kogi Central Senatorial District for their unwavering support and commitment to democratic values.
