Kogi State NYCN Holds Bye Election on 22nd December, 2023
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter has schedule to hold a bye election to fill the vacant position created consequent upon the expulsion of the former State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter, Mr. Usman Samuel Ogohi on Friday 22nd December, 2023 by 9am prompt at the premises of the Youth House of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi Chapter’s Youth House, Lokoja
According to the Electoral Committee in a release by its Secretary, Hon. Oladipo Makakese Bayode, the screening of aspirants will also hold on Thursday, 21st December, 2023 at the Lokoja Local Government Secretariat by 4:30pm
The Statement added that election into some vacant offices in the Council ie the Vice Chairman-Kogi East and Programme officer-I shall also be conducted at the elective congress.
According to the statement, the constitution of the Council stipulates that the delegates to the bye election are Members of the State Management Committee and the Branch Coordinators of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in the Twenty-one Local Government areas of Kogi State and Head of VYOs registered with the National Youth Council of Nigeria the statement added.
