
Kogi State Head of service, Mrs Hannah Adio was today the first to be enrolled at the flag off of the formal sector health insurance plan for Kogi State Civil Servants.

The event which took place at the conference Hall of the Head of service office has in attendance the Permanent Secretary ministry of health, Mrs Falilat Abdulrazaq, Chairman Kogi State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Gabriel Amari, Chairman Joint Negotiating Council,, Comrade Olusegun Alemeru, Chairman Trade Union Congress (TUC), the Board Chairman, Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, Pharm. Suberu Ariko, Chief Medical Director, Kogi State Hospital Management Board, Dr Olayemi Ayo and a host of top government functionaries.
The Head of service, Mrs Hannah Adio applauded Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for initiating the health insurance plan for Kogi State. She maintained that with the insurance plan in place, Kogi State workers will be relieved of the payment of high cost medical care.
On his part the Chairman of Kogi State chapter of NLC, Comrade Gabriel Amari said the flag off of the Biometric enrollment for Kogi State civil servants for the health insurance plan has come at the right time. He called on the agency to be diligent in carrying out their official mandate on health insurance for the state civil servants.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Adekunle Aledare applauded the organized labour and the state civil servants for their cooperation on the health insurance plan for the state civil servants. He assured the civil servants that the agency will continue to work round the clock for the success of the health insurance plan for Kogi State civil servants.
