Kogi State government to enroll more persons with disability into the health insurance plan
Kogi State governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has concluded plans to enrol more persons with disability into the Bello Care health insurance plan in the state.
The Executive Secretary of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, (KGSHIA), Dr Adekunle Aledare made this known during an interactive session with the leadership of the office of the persons living with disability Affairs (KOSIDA) held at the agency’s headquarters in Lokoja.
Dr. Aledare expressed the commitment of the state government to reduce the financial and physical pains
experienced by persons with disability especially at this critical time
The Executive Secretary further noted that persons with disability are already enrolled in the Bello Care programme across the three Senatorial districts in the state and more people with disability will be enrolled in the month of October.
He applauded the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the renewal of the Bello Care programme to cover new set of vulnerable persons in the state.
Earlier the Executive Secretary of of the office of Persons with Disability Affairs ( KOSODA), Mallam Abdulhakeem Isah expressed his appreciation to the agency for the warm reception and collaborative support the agency.
He also appealed to the Agency to appoint a focal desk officer for their members and their Agency to easily access the state health insurance agency. He also appealed to the state ministry of Health to consider their members for employment opportunities and other assistance that could better the lot of her members.
The Executive Secretary of persons with disability called on the ministry of health and the agency to always consider their members for employment. He also called for any assistance which could better the lot of his members.
