KOGI STATE 1 MILLION WOMEN UNITY SOLIDARITY RALLY KABBA 2021


 

Preparation at top gear for the Kogi State 1 million women Unity Solidarity Rally.

 

Speaking to pressmen today in Lokoja the founder and focal person of women initiative for Good leadership, Ambassador Hauwa Rose Idakwoji said the organization which is nationwide decides to stage the rally in order to Forster Unity and peaceful coexistence amongs Nigerians.

According to her that peace in Nigeria has lately been threatened, and as women and mothers it is their responsibility not to only preach peace, but also be at the forefront of promoting it.

The rally with the theme: “Strong and better together” schedule to hold at Kabba, the headquarter of Kabba/Bunu LGA is one of such rallies to be held in the three senatorial districts Of Kogi State.

She further threw light on what to be expected at the rally. According to her, women from all over Kogi State and beyond will be gathered in Kabba in solidarity to the course of women. Besides forstening Unity and peaceful coexistence, the rally will also be an avenue for women to give voice to their collective aspirations, while sharing experiences with women from other parts of the State.

Ambassador Hauwa Idakwoji who informed pressman that though the programme being a private initiative of her organization, enjoys overwhelming suppots from women from all walks of life, organizations and individuals who are committed to the advancement of women.

Expected at the rally are delegates from the 7 LGAs that made up Kogi West senatorial district, women representatives from other parts of Kogi State, women representatives from Kwara, Benue, Niger, Nassarawa and the FCT. They will also be various Women Speakers who will be speaking on different topics that affects women and the society.

On the level of preparedness, Ambassador Hauwa reinterated her organizations commitments not only to deliver, but also organize a programme whose impact will be with us for a while. In her words, “I have travelled virtually the whole states of the Federation and consulted extensively to ensure that we deliver a first Class programme whose impact will remain with us for a long time” Both the central working committees and the local organising committees are working round the Clock to ensure the success of the programme. Major Stakeholders, traditional Institutions, women organizations, religious organizations, communities are all part of the making of this history. Already women delegations from Benue, Kwara, Niger have all confirm their participation, security agencies have all been contacted to ensure safety of the programme.

The programme which is scheduled for 27th February at Demonstration school field Kabba expects government officials from the six States of North Central Nigeria.
