The President of Kogi Star Women Association, Eunice John, has praised Gov Yahaya Bello for his efforts at politically empowering women in the State.
Mrs. Eunice in a chat with the Nigerianpost Newspaper, described the election of women as Vice Chairpersons, Council Leaders and the having three Councilors who are women in each Council of the State as commendable.
The President urged women in the State to take the advantage by making sure that through their performances and Impact, the feat would be sustained in the coming years.
The President called on women to in this yuletide season make their children welfare a priority, disclosed that most children are lured into negative vices in periods as Christmas, said the period is not for negative vices.
While assurring that her NGO would continue to hold Sensitization seminar to educate women and children on living rightly, prayed God for the safety of women and children in 2021.
Mrs Eunice lamented the rate of violence against women in the society, appealed to Gov. Yahaya Bello to assent to the VAPP bill passed by the State Assembly, pointing out that it has the ingredients of making the society safe for women and the girl child.
