The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly who doubles as the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kolawole Olushola Matthew has commended Nigeria judiciary on the outstanding judgment delivered yesterday in his favour, pointing out that truly the judiciary has once again proved to be the last hope of a common man.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Olugbemi Femi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
According to the statement, the speaker appreciated the giant role played by the party under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello whose determination is to see how Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency will join other leagues of progressives at the National Assembly to reposition the area for greater exploits in the next political dispensation, nothing that his legal team has done a wonderful job.
He said the litigation has further strengthened his determination and commitments to continue to provide qualitative representations for the people to enjoy enduring dividends of democracy, noted that the APC remain one big family.
He pledged to continue to work with everyone within the party, urged his co-contestants to sheath their swords as the success of the party should remain paramount in their minds.
Kolawole said the need for everyone to work together has become necessary since the APC remain the only platform that can take the country to another level of developments, stressing that with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashmir Shettima, the nation will witness a new lease of life from May 29th, 2023 when they will be sworn in as President and Commander in Chief of Nigeria Armed Forces by the grace of God.
He said the victory at the appellate court is a victory for the people hence it is time to campaign with APC verifiable achievements in the area/state and the nation at large.
