The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state has called on whoever is shadowed with the responsibility of paying those who took part in the FG Public Works Scheme in Kogi state their money, to do so without further delay, as it condemns in all ramifications, the penchants for not paying workers and as at when due.
“It’s niether morally or spiritually right to withhold money meant for labourers, whose sweat should not get dried before they are paid”, this is worse as the said funds had been released by the Federal Government.
The PDP therefore, appeals to the APC, to stop ill designed elephant programmes and projects at the expense of the people and the country’s questionable economy, as the debts are daily piling locally (internally) and internationally (externally). The party enjoins the APC led Government to stop punishing people that have worked and advice they turn a new leaf, reminding them that, their is enough problems in the country than to add more to the pains in the land.
The statement signed by the party’s Director of Media and Communication, Comrade Dayo Onibiyo, demands instant payment of the now suspected to have developed wings’ money to the rightful people who have played their own part by paying their dues, working assiduously during the COVID harsh time.
