Ahead of March 11th, 2023 governorship and state houses of Assembly elections, a support group under the aegis of Kogi in Benue Network for Uba, Ortom and other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed total commitment to work for the victory of all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming polls.
Speaking with newsmen in Gatah Hotel Makurdi during a caucus meeting of leaders of Igala people resident in Benue state, spokesperson of the group Mr. Thompson Alfa said the Igala people in Benue state were solidly behind Rt. Hon. Titus Ubah for governor, Samuel Ortom for senate and all the other PDP candidates in the three senatorial zones.
Hon. Alfa maintained that given Hon. Uba’s antecedents as speaker of the Benue state house of Assembly especially the stability he has maintained in the house, Kogi people were confident of his ability to lead the state in the right direction and pledged their unalloyed support for the PDP project in the state.
Chairman of Igala people in Benue state, Hon. Edechu Ikani in a remark said the Igala people were determined to leave no stone unturned to ensure total victory for Rt. Hon. Titus Uba as governor, governor Samuel Ortom as senator and all candidates of the peoples democratic party (PDP) from the three senatorial zones of the state.
Hon. Ikani who advised his people not to fragment the votes promised that they will ensure unity of purpose to achieve their common goal, stressing that the group will deploy fully the three ingredients of politics which is theory, strategy and propaganda to achieve victory for the PDP.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Community Relationships Hon. Onuh Attah said the cordial relationship that has existed between governor Samuel Ortom and Igala people resident in Benue state has given the Igala people every confidence that Rt. Hon. Titus Uba will consolidate on the foundation already laid by his boss and expressed the hope that Rt. Hon. Titus Uba’s victory was a forgone conclusion.
