Kogi NYCN Inaugurates 18 LG Coordinators, As State Chairman Says Under His Leadership, Council Has Grown in Leaps and in Bounds.
The newly elected Local Government Coordinators of the National Youth Council of Nigeria have been inaugurated Kogi State, asked to be guided by the rules contained in the Council Constitution.
Comr. Benjamin Jeremiah Ojodale gave the charge while inaugurating the Coordinators at the Youth House, Lokoja today.
He said their Inauguration is bringing them into another world of service, urged them to give their best in the discharge of their duties.
He urged them to be good Ambassadors in their Local Government by showing effectiven leadership, said under his watch, the NYCN has grown in leaps and in bounds.
He urged them not to indulge in acts that are inimical to the Council, urged them to emulate the leadership qualities of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as it relates to inclusiveness and all round development.
He urged them to support the present administration of Gov Ododo in maintaining law, peace and security in their various local Government Areas for the good works he is doing for the progress of the State.
Under his tenure, the Chairman said he has done his best to change the narratives, pointing out that until now, he has ensured that election in the Council are democratic in all ramifications.
Highlights of the Inauguration was the presentation of certificates of return, described the NYCN under his tenure as a new order.
Similarly, the Local Government Coordinators took their oath of office.
In a message, the Kogi State Commissioner For Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, charged the Youth Coordinators to eschew bitterness, pointing out that the administration of Gov Ododo will continue to give priority to youth development in the State.
The Inauguration was witnessed by the pioneer State NYCN Chairman, Comr. Haroun Opotu, who charged the newly elected and inaugurated Coordinators to keep the fire of the State Council burning with high sense of decorum.
