Kogi NYCN Election Update: ELCOM Begins Sales of Nomination Forms Tuesday 6th July.


 

.. announces cost of nomination forms, assures of free, fair, transparent and credible polls.

The Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria says it would from Tuesday, 6th July, 2021 begin the sales of nomination forms ahead of the July 23rd and 24th State Congress election.

Electoral Committee Chairman, Kogi NYCN Transition Committee made the disclosure after a NYCN Stakeholders/Press Briefing as part of activities lined up for the 2021 National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter Election, disclosed that the sales of forms closes a week from the commencement of the date of the sale of forms.

The Chairman planning committee again assured of a free and fair election, promising that the election would be transparent, devoid of any manipulation and favouritism.

The ELCOM Chairman urged the NYCN stakeholders and aspirants to before anything see themselves first as Kogi youths and in the end must remain united to chart a course of progress and development the council.

The ELCOM Chairman urged Kogi Youths under the aegis of NYCN to take examples from the Youth friendly policies of the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello, described the governor as the number one youth of the state today.

He charged the Youths to ensure they do things by the books towards ensuring that the bright future as envisioned by Gov. Bello for the Youths of the state is not scuttled.

While he commended the youth – centric policies of Gov. Bello that has made Kogi Youths the envy of other youths in Nigeria, the ELCOM Chairman, explained that the Kogi Youths just can’t thank the Governor enough for making youth related activities so attractive and for the recognition he has given to them.

The ELCOM Chairman commended Gov. BELLO for his recent constitution of members of the Kogi State Youth Development Commission, appreciated the Governor making the Commission to be populated mainly by the youths, described it is a departure from the past where such a commission would have been made up of old people.

The ELCOM Chairman thanked the outgoing executives of the NYCN in the state and other stakeholders for their unique roles in ensuring a United Youth and a more pragmatic and astute young people in the state, charged the incoming executives to build on the progress so far recorded by the out gone executives

The ELCOM Chairman assure every NYCN stakeholder in the state that the committee is made up of people of unrivalled character traits capable of delivering the good in a process, assured all aspirants that the process would be devoid of any form of manipulation, promise to offer the best election the Council has ever witnessed since its inception in the state.

The ELCOM committee said the Chairmanship nomination forms for aspirants stands at N100,000.

Similarly, the cost of nomination forms for the office of the Deputy Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer N70,000, Vice Chairmanship and Financial Secretary is fixed at N50,000.

In the same vain, the Congress Planning Committee fixed cost of forms for other offices at N40,000.
