Kogi NYCN Begins Process to Conduct LG Election, Constitutes Electoral Committees.

 

The Kogi State Chapter, National Youth Council of Nigeria, has begun the process to elect new leadership at the Local Government Areas.

The State Chairman, Comr. Ben Jerry made the disclosure, said it is the intention of the Council to make the election inclusive and owned by the members without any imposition.

To this end the Zonal Chairmen of the Zones are to serve as Electoral Committee Secretary of the election while the highest stakeholder from the zone is to serve as the Chairman

The Council Chairman is however the Chairman of the Central Electoral Committee working with the Final Committee.

The Guideline for the election is as follows :
1. Sales of Form

2. Screening of Candidates

3. Screening by Appeal committee

 

4 Election

Comr. Ben assured of a free and credible electoral process and wished all the contestants a level playing field.
