Kogi NYCN Appreciates Tinubu, N-HYPPEDEC For Distribution of Starter Packs to Beneficiaries of Youth Transformation Programme

 

The Kogi State Chapter, National Youth Council of Nigeria, has sent a message of appreciation to the Federal Government and the Management of N-HYPPEDEC for their sincerity during the starter packs distribution to beneficiaries of Youth Transformation program in Kogi State.

Recalled that N-HYPPADEC Youth Transformation Programme in Kogi presented starter pack kits to 705 Graduates to commence operations in their various skills of specialisation.

The Kogi State Chapter, NYCN in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, particularly praised President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for the efforts to lift youths of the State out of unemployment and to make them self reliant, described the starter packs distribution as promised kept.

Comr. Jerry also appreciated the Kogi State Government for its support to providing the enabling environment for N-HYPPADEC intervention in the ten local government areas of its coverage, namely; Ajaokuta, Adavi, Bassa, Ibaji, Igalamela/Odolu, Idah, Kogi, Lokoja, Ofu and Omala.

The State Chairman of NYCN also expressed appreciation to Sen. George Akume for its support that enabled N-HYPPADEC Youth Transformation Programme to thrive in the state.

Comr. Jerry described the N-HYPPADEC Youth Transformation Programme nation-wide, as a welcome development which he said has accelerated rapid progress in the six states covered by N-HYPPADEC intervention.

Similarly, the NYCN commended Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of N-HYPPADEC, for keeping to it promise providing start up kits for beneficiaries who were drawn from across the ten N-HYPPADEC communities in Kogi, haven successfully completed their skills acquisition training in various vocational trades.

Comr. Jerry notes that the empowerment programme will no doubt secure the future of the Kogi State youths in the face of the current economic challenges bedeviling the nation.

“The essence of the N-HYPPADEC Youth Transformation programme is also geared towards the provision of job opportunities that would enable unemployed graduates become self-reliant in the absence of White Collar Jobs”, expressed satisfaction with the distribution of the starter packs.

Comr. Jerry noted that the provision of the Start-up Kits is key to the economic independent of the beneficiaries and advised that they should use them wisely for the purpose intended, stressing that the kits should not be sold in whatever form.

Comr. Jerry equally thanked the State Coordinator and Management of N-HYPPEDEC in Kogi State for their guide and support before, during and after the training that culminated into the distribution of starter packs to beneficiaries.

Graduates Specialisations provided start up kits in Kogi include; 185, Computer Application, 187, Fashion/Design, 94, Poultry Farming, 85, Catering Services, 61, Fish Farming, 44, Bag/Shoe Making, 18, Hair Dressing, 12, Beads Making, 6, Cosmotology and 74, Graphic Design”

Starter-Packs distributed include; Sola energy installations, ICT gadgets, Catering equipments and Sewing machines amongst others.
