The Kogi Youths Concern, KYC, has confered an award on effective humanitarian service to the Kogi State Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC President, Comrade Monday Janagwu for exemplary leadership.
The colourful ceremony was held at the Cooprative House of the NSCDC in Lokoja, shortly after the AGM.
Speaking at the Conferment, leader of the Kogi Youths Concern, Comrade Stephen Attah explained that the award on Monday Janagwu was based on his humanitarian services to the people, including the welfare of cooperators.
He noted that the award was purely on merit as the body would not compromise at promoting efficiency and good works.
Comrade Attah maintained that the Kogi Youths Concern has carried out independent findings on the activities of Comrade Monday Janagwu who has so far demonstrated capacity, courage and transparency in the affairs of the cooperative and the society at large.
He urged other leaders to emulate the Monday Janagwu example towards making the society a better place for all.
Responding, Comrade Monday Janagwu expressed appreciation to the group for making him proud through the award and dedicated the award to the entire co-operative members.
Comrade Janagwu said his services to humanity was based on his desire to make a positive difference in leadership position, especially in the Co-operative society.
Janagwu promised to do more in the period ahead and appealed to the people to always support good course.
