By joshua Kogi NIPR Chairman Tasks Practitioners on Capacity Building as Institute Inducts Over 300 Members
New members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, from the Kogi State chapter have been told to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals of Public Relations practice as they take the bold step in further building their professional career.
Chairman of the Chapter, Ismaila Isah gave the charge at the 3rd Quarter Induction ceremony of the institute for 2026 held in Abuja where over 300 new members officially joined the NIPR.
Isah, who congratulated the inductees for opening a new page in their professional journey advised the new members to be focused, continue to build their intellectual capacity and maximize the opportunities such as mentorship and network opportunities that abound in the NIPR.
According to Isah, the institute has a vast pool of intellectual materials and resource persons which must be tapped into by the new members to deepen knowledge and build their capacity as communications professionals.
Isah also presented to the inductees, copies of the book titled; Aren’t We All PR People? written by a seasoned Public Relations practitioner, Ahmed Balarabe as a token of encouragement from the Kogi State Chapter as he urged the new inductees to take active part in NIPR chapter activities.
In his address, NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku charged the inductees to see themselves as key players in nation-building and national integration, noting that despite the challenges in the country, Nigeria remains one of the blessed nations in view of its diversity and human and abundant natural resources.
Dr. Neliaku implored the new members to uphold the ethics of the profession, continue to network and contribute to national development.
310 new members were inducted into the NIPR at the ceremony in Abuja.
