During the closing and valedictory ceremony of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) organized by the World Bank and Federal Ministry of Environment, held yesterday at Sheraton hotel Abuja, Saturday 11th June 2022.
Kogi NEWMAP came over all first in the 2nd Tier NEWMAP States. Made up of 7 States which include Kano, Gombe, Delta, Sokoto, Oyo, Akwa ibom, and Plateau States.
Kogi State NEWMAP also clinched the first position in the overs all 23 States on the Implementation of Environmental and Safeguard Instruments.
Kogi was also runner up in, Implementation of Grievances Redress Mechanism and the Implementation of Catchment Management Plan.
The highly elated Project Coordinator of Kogi NEWMAP, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto appreciated the Almighty God for the divine support. She specially recognized and appreciated His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello for his unrelenting support to Kogi NEWMAP.
The Project Coordinator however dedicated the awards to God Almighty and His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello.
