The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Agagwu Samuel Sule has promised to reverse the trend of poverty and underdevelopment that have pervaded the local government over time if elected at the polls come Saturday this week.
The chairmanship candidate made promise while addressing his numerous supporters at a campaign rally in Dekina, Egume, Okura and Anyigba preparatory for the Saturday’s local government polls.
He says if given the mandate by the peace loving people, the issue of percentage payment that has reduced the purchasing power of staff and pensioners would be a thing of the past.
His administration Sule says will ensure training and retraining of workers, prompt payment of salaries and allowances as well as improvement in the working and living condition of staff.
Road construction and development would also be accorded priority as network of roads are catalyst to rapid socio economic development of rural communities.
He added that other sectors that would receive government attention if elected included, water supply, agriculture, health care delivery as well as education.
The PDP chairmanship candidate while thanking stakeholders for nominating him as their sole candidate says he will strive hard to live up to expectation in the delivery of democracy dividends to the people
He called on the youths and the entire people of the local government to come out en mass and vote for all the PDP candidates, describing the party as credible with a human face.
