The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu in his usual magnanimity has presented cash to the poorest of the poor Christians across Kogi LGA to assist them in the celebration of Christmas.
The Commissioner gave out the cash amount of N1m to compliment the rice distribution sent to Kogi LGA by Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
The Commissioner praised Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for sending several truck loads of rice to Kogi LGA, said the Cash will aid in the purchase of condiments by the less privileged.
The rice he said was distributed to all Wards and polling unit to enable it trickle down to the people deserving of it, expressed satisfaction with the manner that the rice was shared.
He added that the cash was to complement the kind gesture of the Governor, assured of a prosperous new year.
Engr. Bashiru described Gov Ododo as a God sent leader who is committed to putting smiles on the faces of the people, praised him for making the distribution of Palliatives-a regular activity, but lauded the quantity shared across the State and to Kogi LGA as impressive in this yuletide.
