Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology; Hon. Wemi Jones has congratulated the newly elected Executive Chairman, Vice Chairman and all Councillors of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area on their victory on the 12th day of December 2020.
The State Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science Education charged them to maintain the tempo exhibited by Governor Yahaya Bello in the execution of projects in order to improve the living standards of residents.
He urged them to make efforts to improve on enhancing the internally generated revenue by plugging all loop-holes as well as identifying new revenue sources.
This the Hon. Commissioner asserted will reduce over dependence on statutory grants from the Federation Account.
“As agents at the grassroots, you are expected to evolve constructive ideas for the development and transformation of our local government areas”, he said.
He expressed gratitude to the state government and the All Progressive Congress ( APC) under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello for conducting a successful and peaceful election in the state.
